Question 1

What is a Google review NFC card?

Accepted Answer

A plastic card with an NFC chip and a QR code. A customer taps the card with a phone, or scans the code, and lands on your Google review page. This page is a custom Google review card: your logo or business name goes on the front.

Question 2

What is a tap to review card?

Accepted Answer

The same card. The front tells the customer to tap to leave a review. The chip and the QR code store a short link on this site, /r/ plus an order id. That link redirects to the Google review URL you pasted.

Question 3

Which Google review links can I paste?

Accepted Answer

Paste a business name or a Google Maps link. A g.page/r/ link is used as-is. A maps.app.goo.gl, goo.gl, or google.com/maps link is followed only far enough to read a place id (ChIJ...) from the URL. If one is there, the review link is search.google.com/local/writereview with that id. A business name is not searched, and this preview does not use the Google Places API. If no place id is found, paste the review link yourself. Google's instructions are at https://support.google.com/business/answer/16816815?hl=en.

Question 4

Who are these cards for?

Accepted Answer

They are aimed at Hudson Valley contractors, plumbers, and landscapers who want a custom Google review card at the shop, on a counter, or in a truck. This preview does not publish a customer list, a rating, or a review count.

Question 5

What happens when someone taps the card?

Accepted Answer

The phone requests /r/ and the order id. A Pages Function writes a row to the taps table and responds with a 302 redirect to the Google review link stored on the order.

Question 6

Can the review link change after the card is made?

Accepted Answer

The NFC chip and the QR code point at the short link, not directly at Google. The Google URL is stored with the order, so it can be updated later without reprinting. This preview does not include a self-serve editor for that change.

Question 7

Do you offer anything for leaving a review?

Accepted Answer

No. The card asks the person to leave a review. It does not offer a reward, a discount, or an entry in a drawing, and it does not ask only for a positive review.

Question 8

Is the card price final?

Accepted Answer

The single-card price on this page is $24.99 [VERIFY]. Quantity breaks, shipping, turnaround, card material specs, and any guarantee are also marked [VERIFY]. They are placeholders, not a quote.

Question 9

What is the Google Business Profile add-on?

Accepted Answer

An optional Google Business Profile management subscription at $100/mo. What monthly management includes is [VERIFY]. If you check the box, checkout uses Stripe subscription mode and the card is a one-time line. Stripe runs in test mode only.

Question 10

What is the adhesive on the back?

Accepted Answer

Every card has a 3M adhesive back, so it can stick to a counter, a door, or the inside of a truck. The exact 3M product number is marked [VERIFY]. This page does not state a hold time, a temperature range, or an outdoor rating.
